    Genuinely just an icebreaker – this forum is for anything ham radio,
    situational awareness, or Helioclock-adjacent that doesn’t fit neatly
    into one of the other categories.

    To start: what’s your shack setup like, and what got you into amateur
    radio (or into running a situational-awareness display, if that’s more
    your angle)? I’ve been licensed since the early 80s, and I’ve spent a lot longer
    than that building weather display systems for a living, so between
    those two things this project ended up being kind of inevitable in
    hindsight.

    Looking forward to HelioClock’s arrival at my QTH via snail mail. Just turned 81 and my radios don’t get out much any more, but I still enjoy listening and have truly enjoyed watching/participating in technology over the years. As far as what brought me to purchase HelioClock? I blame it all on Jason KM4ACK. (Wink!)
