A lot of ham clubs have a station room or a common area where members
hang out between meetings or nets. A Helioclock display running
continuously there does double duty: it’s genuinely useful (greyline,
band conditions, space weather) for whoever’s about to get on the air,
and it’s also just an interesting thing to look at for anyone passing
through who isn’t actively operating – which is a nice way to make a
    clubhouse feel more alive.

SKU-1 on a Pi with an existing monitor is probably the easiest entry
point for a club budget, and since there’s no subscription or cloud
account involved, there’s nothing ongoing for the club treasurer to
    track.
