My Helioclock (Pi 4, 32 GB SD card, version unknown) stopped working because the card was 100% full. When I mounted the card on another machine, I found about 16 GB of 4 MB .pma files in /home/administrator/snap/chromium/common/chromium/BrowserMetrics.

The files started around October 13, and a new one was created about every minute. That looks like Chromium crashing and restarting in a loop, since each launch leaves one of these files. Deleting them frees the space, (mounted microsd on another linux system) but I’d expect it to fill up again.

And expected, removing the files appears to have broken functionality, lost the github PAT so I can’t run an update. I have a clone of the original microsd so I can just recreate it.

Has anyone else seen this? Could a future update clear out or block that folder, and is there a known cause for the restart loop?

    ex linux/unix engineers… aren’t we the worst? 😉
